Following a total investment of 70 million euros in the last five years, the world famous ski region of Hahnenkamm, Streif and the “mousetrap” is once again resplendent. In particular, the spectacular 3S cable car, which connects the Pengelstein with the Wurzhöhe and crosses the 400 metre deep Saukasergraben, is an absolute highlight for passionate winter sportsmen and women.

Major investments were also made in the ski region in summer 2008. This has had a positive impact on the quality, comfort, ski pleasure and safety. In December 2008 the “Ganslern“ was launched. This is a detachable four-person chairlift, which serves the original world cup slalom slope for the Hahnenkamm race. Besides the 99 kilometres of slope that can be prepared with snow machines, the new reservoirs, Jochberg/Wagstätt and Usterkarcan, ensure that the core ski region in the Hahnenkamm/Pengelstein and Jochberg area can be prepared with snow within 70 hours.

Furthermore, the installation of a conveyor belt boarding system at the four-seater “Hochsaukaser” chairlift provides winter sports aficionados with convenient and simple lift transportation.
